Ancora Punta Mita

Right on the beach in the heart of the town of Punta de Mita, Ancora is a unique vacation experience. We have 23 ocean front beach cottage style units (1- and 2-bedroom layout with full kitchen, living room and large ocean view balconies) combined with an active community containing restaurants, shops and direct access to the marina out front.

It’s all about the community at Ancora and getting to know and explore this amazing place. Ancora’s street level has an independently run coffee shop, store and other shops and eating options which are all open to the public and where people from all over the community come to start their daily activities on the ocean. Local guides for fishing, surfing, diving, whale watching, exploring the Marieta island, and many other activities use Ancora as the meeting place to start the day. Its an active area to meet people any time of the day and get to know the people from our community.

The Roof top at Ancora has a spectacular restaurant and bar that is open to the public. There is also a roof top pool that is for the exclusive use of guests staying in the residences. It is hard to find a better view of the Bay of Banderas.

We encourage our guests to take advantage of the kitchens and living space by sending us a grocery list of items you would like in the refrigerator upon your arrival. Please see the base recommended list on our reservation page.

My husband and I needed a getaway and this was exactly what the doctor ordered. My husband could surf (some really great surf spots in walking distance) and I could lay by the pool and read. The rooms were beautiful, brand new and the view from our balcony was gorgeous! Coffee in the morning there every morning and wine in the evening! Staff very friendly. The rooftop pool and lookouts are extraordinary.

The views from the room and rooftop pool were exceptional. The hotel is very close to the beach, surf lessons, restaurants, etc. I traveled with my three children. I highly recommend the Ancora for families. The rooms include a kitchenette and a washer/dryer.

We rented four rooms for a large family reunion weekend and Ancora did not disappoint. The photos did not do justice for the beautiful rooms. Beds were very comfortable The staff were all very nice and provided wonderful suggestions when we asked for them. We will absolutely be back and recommend to anyone coming to the area.

Ancora was amazing! It is a beautiful property that just opened. Rooms are very spacious and well designed. Location is good as you have many good restaurants near by ranging from high end to very affordable depending on what you want. The rooftop had spectacular views of the bay with an infinity pool. Loved the coffee shop in the morning. Very well done overall with attentive service. I will definitely be back.

My husband and took a post-Christmas vacation at Ancora Punta Mita, taking advantage of the soft opening prices. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The one-bedroom unit was spacious, well-appointed, modern and quiet. The balcony was large and we had a lovely view of the town and local beach. We liked the location as it's in town but on the water (the boat dock is right outside, so lots of activity in the mornings - fun to watch). If you are a resort person who doesn't want to have any kind of local experience, then this isn't the place for you, but if you enjoy being part of the activities in town, it's a great location. The rooftop pool area is not huge, but the views are absolutely spectacular and it's a great spot to sit with a book for the afternoon. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They organized several activities for us and addressed all of our questions promptly and completely. It's also minutes walk from the great Punta Mita restaurants. Highly recommend!
