Excellent treatment from Carlos, he made the experience from arriving up until leaving great. The location is amazing, you’re right on the street with the best spots and the rooms are beautiful and so spacious, everything you need and more is there. My favorite part is the pool and like no other, it feels like if you were in the sea with an amazing view, will definitely be back soon.

We loved this place! Excellent location to walk to all the shops and restaurants, brand new construction with a lovely rooftop pool, restaurant and amazing views. We had plenty of room as a family of 5 (3 adult children) and our unit was equipped with washer/dryer/dishwasher and underground parking which made vacationing easy! Carlos was a wonderful concierge who fixed us up with a private fishing expedition, Marietas tour and even a cooking class with chef Lupita. AJ's rooftop steakhouse was top notch and the service was everything you could ask for. It looks like a cafe will be opening soon downstairs and with the marina right in front, it has everything you could want for a stress-free vacation in Punta de Mita!
We certainly enjoyed ourselves while staying at the Ancona In Punta Mita. The condo was amazing from the views to the layout. Well furnished and equipped with all the necessary kitchen supplies. Every staff member was friendly and helpful.
Diego looked after all our needs and made us feel so comfortable.
We were always greeted by a friendly face at the front desk and they made the building feel very safe as they chatted with all the guests and visitors.
Watching the sunset from the rooftop pool deck was the icing on the cake!

Excellent service from Carlos at reception who kindly had the room ready for us before check-in, the apartment was very nice and clean and with a beautiful view and the roof not to mention, definitely ideal for vacations and the best, excellent location and to go out this incredible since everything is a few steps from the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Ancora, it has amazing oceanfront views and it’s an excellent spot to relax for a few days. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived :))
My sister and I spent 4 nights at Ancora in unit 506, one of the two bedroom condos. Overall this is a nice place in a convenient location and the condos are well decorated. The front desk staff is very friendly.
Since this is such a new place I’ll add some more details for the sake of writing a helpful review…
These are independently owned condos you can rent, so there are some differences to consider vs booking a hotel, for example: they asked me to pay via PayPal, you have to pay extra to have daily house keeping, there isn’t room service and, depending on what you need, the front desk may not be able to help (as these units are owned by individuals, not Ancora). For example, in our condo, the living room and both bedrooms had their own TVs and air conditioning units on the walls (which was great!) but there was only 1 TV remote and 1 A/C remote for the whole condo; meaning we had to take turns each night on who got to use the remotes in their bedroom. When we asked the front desk for additional remotes they said “the owner only left one”.
It may also be helpful to note that the condo is next to a vacant lot that is occupied by a lot of dogs… every night we were up from 1AM - 4AM with dogs barking. Due to this I wouldn’t recommend staying in 206, 306, 406, or 506 if you’re a light sleeper, as these are all the units at the end of the building closest to this vacant lot. The owners of these condos might consider white noise machines or ear plugs for guests. It may not be as big of a problem for units on the other side of the building.
Lastly, the roof pool is beautiful and has great views! However it is a small pool deck with only 8-10 lounge chairs. I could see this being an issue as it gets busier (with guests hoping for a pool day but having nowhere to sit).
All in all I would recommend Ancora but with some caveats…

What an amazing spot! I think we were one of the first ones to stay in our room. This is truly a stay before you can’t get a room spot. It’s going to be such an amazing hotel. We loved the rooftop pool and snacks. There are plenty of towels and beach towels. Our room was really quiet, clean and comfortable. All of the staff was so kind and helpful. 10/10 recommend
My husband and I needed a getaway and this was exactly what the doctor ordered. My husband could surf (some really great surf spots in walking distance) and I could lay by the pool and read. The rooms were beautiful, brand new and the view from our balcony was gorgeous! Coffee in the morning there every morning and wine in the evening! Staff very friendly. The rooftop pool and lookouts are extraordinary.
The views from the room and rooftop pool were exceptional. The hotel is very close to the beach, surf lessons, restaurants, etc. I traveled with my three children. I highly recommend the Ancora for families. The rooms include a kitchenette and a washer/dryer.
We rented four rooms for a large family reunion weekend and Ancora did not disappoint. The photos did not do justice for the beautiful rooms. Beds were very comfortable The staff were all very nice and provided wonderful suggestions when we asked for them. We will absolutely be back and recommend to anyone coming to the area.

Ancora was amazing! It is a beautiful property that just opened. Rooms are very spacious and well designed. Location is good as you have many good restaurants near by ranging from high end to very affordable depending on what you want. The rooftop had spectacular views of the bay with an infinity pool. Loved the coffee shop in the morning. Very well done overall with attentive service. I will definitely be back.
My husband and took a post-Christmas vacation at Ancora Punta Mita, taking advantage of the soft opening prices. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The one-bedroom unit was spacious, well-appointed, modern and quiet. The balcony was large and we had a lovely view of the town and local beach. We liked the location as it's in town but on the water (the boat dock is right outside, so lots of activity in the mornings - fun to watch). If you are a resort person who doesn't want to have any kind of local experience, then this isn't the place for you, but if you enjoy being part of the activities in town, it's a great location. The rooftop pool area is not huge, but the views are absolutely spectacular and it's a great spot to sit with a book for the afternoon. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They organized several activities for us and addressed all of our questions promptly and completely. It's also minutes walk from the great Punta Mita restaurants. Highly recommend!
